DARRELL SCOTT
+ Louise Latham + Still (support)
Award-winning Grammy nominee and Nashville legend Darrell Scott appears at the Halls as part of a special Icarus Club presentation in advance of their forthcoming Spring shows. As well as being a sublime singer-songwriter in his own right, he's written songs for over 70 top artists, including Keb Mo, Faith Hill, the Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks and Hank Williams. He's recorded with Joan Baez, Steve Earle, Kate Rusby and Randy Travis and appeared, to rapturous acclaim, with Beth Nielsen Chapman at last summer's Cambridge Folk Festival. His music covers a broad spectrum of country, blues and folk and he's a truly independent artist, releasing six wonderful albums to date on his own label Full Light Records, one of which, Theatre of the Unheard, was voted one of Rolling Stone magazine's top albums of 2003.
Supporting Darrell will be Louise Latham and Still, both of whom have appeared at the Icarus Club's weekly events in the local area.
