Following the extensive celebrations of this great composer last year, this course continues to pay homage to Vaughan Williams by exploring his works for orchestra: not only the symphonies, Job and the Tallis Fantasia, but also some of his delectable smaller pieces such as The Lark Ascending.  This ten week course will reveal Vaughan Williams not only as one of the most significant figures of British music but also as one of the most significant figures of British music but also one of the few 20th Century greats.
