Blackheath Halls is open for business again following it's 6 months of closure and £3m renovation of the Great Hall, bar and backstage areas in order to improve the venue for both its' performers and its' audiences.
New Bar, New Stage, New Seating
The sloped stage has been levelled and lowered, enabling dance, musical theatre and family theatre companies to use it for the first time. Retractable raked seating now gives audience improved sight lines and comfort, new curtains and screens have improved acoustics for different genres of music, and new stage equipment and lighting will enhance the performer and audience experience.
The bar area has been completely remodelled, creating a larger, flexible, modern space for guests to unwind before and after events, as well as a new small performance area for informal entertainment.
Who would you name a seat after? Take Your Seat at Blackheath Halls
For the very first time in it's rich 120 year history, Blackheath Halls are offering the opportunity to name a seat in the Great Hall with a plaque attached to one of the new raked seats as well as be named on our Supporters Board in the newly renovated bar areas.
All monies raised from this campaign will be supporting our campaign to Transform Blackheath Halls, ensuring that the venue remains a vibrant, creative venue, worthy of the creative talents it hosts for many years to come.
