CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Latest Update MON 18 MAY 2020
First, and foremost, all of us at Blackheath Halls send our best wishes and hope you are keeping well.
Following ongoing government advice, with regret we will be extending our temporary closure until at least Saturday 4 July.
If you have booked tickets for events during this period of closure, you will receive an email outlining your options. As we are sure you will understand, box office staff are extremely busy at this time and your patience in dealing with your cancellation would be greatly appreciated.
Please Support Us
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to you all for your ongoing support. We have received some lovely messages as well as some very generous donations to date and both this support and positivity mean so much to us during these difficult times.
Blackheath Halls runs over 800 performances, workshops and activities every year without any core funding. We are hugely dependent on ticket sales, bar income and income from hires, so being closed for an extended period is enormously concerning from a financial perspective, especially when we are also trying to deal fairly with artists, freelancers and casual staff who depend on the creative sector for their work.
We recognise that everyone has different circumstances, and this is a difficult time for many individuals and organisations, but if you are in a position to help we would be enormously grateful. This should enable us to get through this difficult time, and re-open when it is safe to do so, continuing to present a wide range of performances and community engagement activities for people of all ages.
To make a gift, no matter how large or small please visit: Support Us
We will also be able to claim Gift Aid on any donations made in this way (if appropriate).
Enjoy Virtual Performances
Whilst it is not possible to attend live performances we are going to be sharing suggestions for online listening and viewing from some of our favourite musicians and performers, so please do keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and will keep the website updated with information on any extended closure dates or rescheduling of events in due course.
We all very much look forward to the time when we can re-open our doors and welcome you back into the building. In the meantime we are sending our very best wishes, and enormous thanks for your continued support.
