2024 will see the start of a new partnership between Blackheath Halls and two Lewisham primary schools, Grinling Gibbons and Lucas Vale.
These partnerships mean we are able to offer additional music and performance opportunities for pupils at these schools, through developing a relationship with them over one year or more, and therefore bettering our understanding of gaps in music provision or any lack of music opportunities for these students that Blackheath Halls may be able to help with. These opportunities may include but are not limited to music and singing workshops in the schools as well as performance opportunities at Blackheath Halls, including singing in concerts with our Blackheath Halls Orchestra.
Both schools are passionate about music and Blackheath Halls is excited to work with them. We hope that this new partnership scheme will supplement the existing music provision in both schools and help to engage more children in our local community in musical opportunities.
