The Blackheath Halls Orchestra was re-established in September 2006 and has gone from strength to strength. The orchestra has been involved in numerous projects, including accompanying all the Blackheath Halls Community operas. The orchestra now has over 60 members.

Orchestra members have the opportunity to take part in four projects each year; all rehearsals take place at Blackheath Halls, and projects culminate with a performance in the Great Hall.

We would like to invite musicians to join the orchestra for Verdi’s Requiem, to be performed at Blackheath Halls on Sun 23 Apr 2023, conducted by Chris Stark and with professional soloists and our Blackheath Halls Choir.

Verdi Requiem: Orchestra Course starting Sun 15 Jan 10am – 1pm
Verdi Requiem Performance Sun 23 Apr, 7.30pm
