Aksel Rykkvin is an award-winning Norwegian baritone based in London. With an illustrious career as the “world’s premier boy soprano”, at twelve, Aksel’s treble début album with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment received rave reviews and both solo albums reached the UK Classical chart top 10.

Aksel has performed as a baritone soloist at festivals, concerts and operas in Norway, Sweden, UK, Austria and Germany. At Christian Gerhaher and Gerold Huber’s Lied festival in 2023, Neue Zürcher Zeitung praised his ‘voice as beautiful as blood and milk

James Cheung has established himself as a much sought after song pianist and chamber musician appearing internationally with leading singers and instrumentalists.

​He has performed in recital with renowned singers such as Christian Gerhaher, Ian Bostridge, Gerald Finley, Joan Rogers, Elizabeth Watts, Elliot Madore, Marcus Farnsworth, Ruby Hughes, Sibylla Rubens, Martin Mitterrutzner, Wiebke Lehmkuhl and Benjamin Appl at venues, including the Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Düsseldorf Tonhalle, Camerata Musica Cambridge, Oxford Lieder Festival, The Banff Centre, St John’s Smith Square, the Royal Opera House, live broadcasts on BBC television and radio and festivals including Southwell, Aldeburgh and Aix en Provence and many more.

James is an associate of the Royal Academy of Music where he is a professor of Ensemble Piano and vocal coach.
