Trailblazing saxophonist Courtney Pine changed the face of British jazz in the 1980s when his debut album stormed the charts, making him one of the first Black British artists to make a major mark on the scene.
More than 20 years later, with both an OBE and CBE for services to music, Courtney Pine remains a true innovator, continuing to push boundaries with acclaimed recordings and a shelf full of prestigious awards.
In April 2014 he joined Herbie Hancock and a dazzling line-up of Jazz all-stars for UNESCO’S globally televised concert in Osaka to celebrate International Jazz Day and his name regularly appears on the list of Most Influential Black Britons.
2014/2015 saw him touring sell out shows across the UK, US and Canada and mainstage performances at Bestival, Love Supreme and The London Jazz Festival with his award winning critically acclaimed 15th studio album House of Legends.
For his 16th studio album to date, he has stripped everything right back for some of the most intimate shows of his long and celebrated career joined by acclaimed pianist Zoe Rahman on piano
