Following his sell-out show in the Hearn Recital Room last year, Dave Sutherland returns to launch his highly anticipated new album, ‘Just Like a Black and White Film‘ in this special event with special guests Ags Connolly and The True Believers.
A local talent through and through, it was over 30 years ago when Dave started his musical journey busking in Greenwich foot tunnel and playing the open mic in the pub across the road from Blackheath Halls.
This time Dave will take to the stage in the Great Hall joined by the incredible talents of Holly Carter (Pedal Steel and Guitars) Tim Harries (Bass), Owain Hughes (Piano and Organs) and Jim Kimberley (Drums) – the the biggest show on the biggest stage, of his career!
An Americana singer-songwriter with nudges towards the Country Music genre, he was awarded ‘UK Male Country Singer of the Year’ at The UK Country Music Awards 2024. An accomplished performer filled with raw energy and emotion, Dave’s music speaks of life, love and London with the eye of an artist and the ear of a poet. His fingerstyle guitar, melodic vocal and London charm have cemented his place amongst the aristocracy of UK Americana artists. His last album, the multi-award winning, Grammy Producer backed ‘Last Drop of Empty’ brought him global success, charting in the UK, Europe and America.
Seating for this event is unreserved and will be a mix of cabaret (tables) and theatre rows.

Country singer extraordinaire Ags Connolly is one of the best singer-songwriters in the genre ever to emerge from the UK. Labelled ‘an English Willie Nelson’ and a ‘National Treasure’ by Country Music People, his album ‘Your Pal Slim: Songs of James Hand’ was considered in the Best Traditional Country Album category at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Ags has been a touring artist for over a decade, including playing major festivals and two US tours, and now performs regularly in the UK and across Europe. In 2023 he opened every date of a major European tour for Charley Crockett.

Americana band The True Believers truly do believe in the spirit and power of Country Music. Music for the Head, Heart and Dancin’ Feet! The band perform their own original songs, all informed by a shared love of Cosmic American Music, mixed with their appreciation for the Folk Tradition.
